Human Integration & Simulation Lab
DUDL 3485
Overview
The space features a Move4D Scanner System for motion capture, including a dynamic body scanner and automatic processing software for the generation of digital human models. This lab allows for ergonomic study of the human body while under various load scenarios and the study of repetitive stress, or bodily wear incited by repetitive tasks. A 3D wire form model may be immediately generated from the scanner and the “mannikin” may be manipulated and studied in unlimited scenarios. This 1,800 ft² lab also enables the study of biomechanics, biosensors application, physical and cognitive work measurement, as well as driving and aviation simulators. This area can be used for instructional and research sessions.
